Mathematics
I do mathematics. More concretely, I do quantum topology. Even more concretely than that, I have spent a good amount of time pondering about the so-called quantum representations of mapping class groups of surfaces; these representations play a central role in topological quantum field theory and arise in a wide variety of different mathematical fields.
